What fabric does Swayra use?
All Swayra pieces are made from 100% cotton.
We choose pure cotton for breathability, structure, and everyday comfort especially for long workdays. It holds its shape beautifully while still feeling soft on the skin.
Will my Swayra piece shrink after washing?
Because we use 100% pure cotton, a very minimal shrinkage after the first wash is completely normal.
Natural cotton fibres gently settle once washed - this is a sign of authentic cotton, not synthetic blends.
The shrinkage is slight and typically not noticeable when worn.
Our garments are thoughtfully designed keeping this natural settling in mind.
After the first wash, the fabric stabilises and holds its shape beautifully.
For best results:
- Cold wash
- Gentle cycle
- Avoid high heat drying
Do dark colours bleed?
Yes, darker shades in pure cotton may release excess dye during the first few washes. This is normal.
It means:
- The fabric is genuinely dyed
- No harsh chemical locking agents
- Authentic cotton processing
To care properly:
- Wash dark colours separately
- Use cold water
- Avoid soaking for long periods
After a few washes, bleeding significantly reduces.
How should I wash my Swayra pieces?
To keep your Swayra garments looking their best:

- Turn garments inside out before washing and drying
- Dry in shade for colour longevity
Cotton lasts longer - and holds its colour and shape better - when treated gently.
Will the fabric become see-through after washing?
No.
Our fabrics are carefully selected to remain non-transparent and work-safe, even after multiple washes. No second-guessing under office lighting.
Is the fabric soft or stiff?
Our pieces are structured by design not stiff.
The cotton feels breathable and soft on the skin, and becomes even softer with wear and washing, without losing its shape.
You get definition without discomfort.
Is it safe under bright office lighting?
Yes.
Our fabrics are selected to remain opaque under natural light and indoor office lighting. No layering stress. No second-guessing.
Will the colour fade over time?
No - your Swayra piece is designed to retain its colour beautifully.
With 100% pure cotton, darker shades may release excess dye during the first few washes. This is completely normal and does not mean the colour is fading.
In fact, it indicates:
• Authentic cotton dyeing
• No heavy chemical locking agents
• Natural fabric processing
This initial release reduces significantly after the first few washes. Once settled, the colour remains rich and stable with proper care.

Will the fit change after washing?
No - the fit is designed to remain consistent.
